WASHINGTON, DC. As the 2016 Presidential election comes less than one month a way, new information shows that major members of the media are or have apparently colluded to help the political campaign of Hillary Clinton.

Normally, the way this is should work is the media is supposed to act as an ethical, independent, watchdog to help keep government honest and transparent when there is a lack of such.

The non-profit media organization, WikiLeaks that helps to expose transparency in governments has been releasing acquired emails of this apparent collusion between media and a political campaign.

[1] U.S. Spanish Media Involvement with Clinton Campaign

Lorella Praeli came to the U.S. illegally, from Peru and somehow was recently granted citizenship and says she will be voting in this election. Praeli is now Director of Latino Outreach for the Hillary Clinton 2016 Campaign.

In a July 3, 2015 email, Praeli wrote to a person named Alex who stated he works for Univision’s chairman, Haim Saban.

“Alex, who works for (Univision’s) Haim, called a few minutes ago. Same message- Haim thinks HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton) needs to be on the forefront of this and show that she’s an integral part of the community, lift up and be proud of the contributions Latinos make.”

Lorella Praeli said July 3, 2015 (Source: Wikileaks, website link/ Local PDF).

What some might think may be unexpected, Univision‘s chairman is not Latino, but Jewish, and was born in Egypt.

Saban has a reported net-worth of some $3 Billion, and a big Democrat donor. Saban and his wife reportedly contributed $10 Million to a Clinton campaign super PAC.

Next, former high ranking lawyer (“Counselor to the President”), Barack Obama (2011), now Chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, John Podesta, had apparent cell phone conversation with Univision’s chairman.

“Haim (Univision TV Chairman) thinks we are under reacting to Trump/Hispanics. Thinks we can get something by standing up for Latinos or attacking R’s for not condemning.”

John Podesta said on July 3, 2015 (Source: Wikileaks, website link/ Local PDF).

Former Obama White House spokesperson Jennifer Palmieri, now Director of Communications for the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign chimed in this email thread:

“Haim is right – we should be jamming this all the time.”

Jennifer Palmieri said on July 3, 2015 (Source: Wikileaks, website link/ Local PDF).

Further involved in this apparent media collusion is Thirty-Six-year-old Clinton Campaign Manager Robby Mook, said that they need to get media organizations to write Op-Ed’s that support the Clinton Campaign.

“If we think this is a dead weekend, my gut would be to get a week-long plan put together leading up to La Raza. Call to action to the groups, ask CHC members to write op eds, Univision interview, etc. then we need to make more news at La Raza.”

Robby Mook said on July 3, 2015 (Source: Wikileaks, website link/ Local PDF).

La Raza is a controversial news media outlet as their Spanish translation to English means “The Race” (Further reading.)

Separately, the National Council of La Raza is a nonprofit advocacy group that promotes Progressive political ideology that is inconstant with current U.S. federal law. The NCLR places emphases on “immigration reform.” This means a path to amnesty for illegal aliens in the United States, and fewer (or no) deportation of illegal aliens. This suggests the NCLR supports open borders. That would thus suggest the NCLR does not believe in America’s sovereignty as a country.

Now with regard to the email, it’s all well and good for a political campaign to try and reach out to various communities as they seek their support and votes. That part is perfectly fine and acceptable and how politics work.

The part that is unethical is a political campaign and media organizations secretly communicating with each other to put out perceived ‘news’ stories that are about supporting a particular candidate.

It’s one thing for media to write stories or even Op-Ed‘s on their own that may contain political bias. It’s another thing when a political campaign and the news media are actively trying to coordinate with each other (collusion). This is where the media is now acting as if it was part of a candidate’s political campaign, and that is what makes this purely unethical.

Collusion. A collaborative agreement, usually secret, amongst rivals to prevent open competition through deceptive means in order to gain a market advantage.  The parties may collude by agreeing to fix prices, limit or restrict supply, share insider information, or divide the market.”

Cornell University Law School

Here, the Democrat Party (specifically, Clinton Campaign officials are secretly trying to gain political advantage over other candidates by gaining the cooperation of the public media to provide news stories that specifically helps their campaign, and or damages their opponents’ campaign.

[2] U.S. Media Involvement with Clinton Campaign

It’s always entertaining to watch media write stories about themselves.

In this case, Donna Brazile, (Democratic) political commentator, a “political expert” on Election Night Coverage for CNN, now Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) reportedly wrote an email that appears to have given Hillary Clinton an advance question one day before a Clinton town hall.

“Here’s one that worries me about HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton). DEATH PENALTY…”

“…Not everyone likes her answer but can share it.”

Donna Brazile said on March 12, 2016 (Source: Wikileaks, website link/ Local PDF).

At the time, Brazile was the DNC’s Vice Chair and a paid CNN commentator, and has denied involvement in this media ethics scandal. A spokesperson for CNN also denied (PDF) any involvement in this collusion between a political campaign and media organization(s). But those denials doesn’t seem very plausible.

“The email obtained by POLITICO was written by town hall co-moderator Roland Martin on the day of the town hall to CNN producers. But it shows him using word for word the language of a question that Brazile appeared to have sent to the Clinton campaign a day earlier.”

[3] CNN Pulls Clinton Documentary: Can’t Find Trustworthy Sources

In another report with regard to CNN seems to question credibility of Clinton’s past or current associates. CNN was going to do a documentary on Hillary Clinton but could not find trustworthy sources willing to talk.

“CNN has cancelled the miniseries that it was going to produce on former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after director Charles Ferguson withdrew from the project citing the difficulties he encountered finding trustworthy sources willing to talk.”

— Source: Latin American Herald Tribune (2013)

This seems to raise questions whether some people have fear of Hillary Clinton, or no one associated to the Clinton’s had any credibility and who were willing to talk to the director of the TV project.

[4] Clinton Staffer “Blackmailed” Reporters – NY Post

A report in the UK media (PDF) discussed how reporters were “strong armed” into writing nice stories about Hillary Clinton. The New York Post said that reporters were blackmailed.

“Hillary Clinton’s high-powered press operation “blackmailed” reporters by promising perks in exchange for flattering coverage, according to a report Tuesday.”

A detailed report can be found in Gawker here.

[5] UK Media Helps Clinton Campaign?

Next British citizen journalist, reportedly a British Conservative, Louise Mensch reportedly helped write an advertisement for the Clinton campaign.

“…her problem is warmth.

If I may, here is an ad I would love to see run;

OUR TIME

A succession of mostly young women, a few old women, one with a baby daughter, multiracial and multi-occupation, to include a nurse and a woman in uniform of some kind where permitted…

one after the other, smiling and looking to camera and saying ‘It’s our time.’

and the last woman says, ‘It’s our time. I’m with her.’

fade to banner credit ‘Hillary 2016’

That would be inspirational, aspirational, and the kind of riff you really need on ‘Yes we can’.

Best, Louise

[6] NY Times Reporter Helps Clinton Campaign?

New York Times Magazine reporter Mark Leibovich, reportedly asked the Hillary Clinton Campaign what was acceptable or not for printing a ‘news’ story. The Times gave the Clinton campaign the ability to “Veto” out anything they didn’t like in the news story before it was written, and provided “5 or 6” ideas of what could be included in the story.

“I wanted the option to use all — and you could veto what you didn’t want. That’s why i selected the 5 or 6 I sent to you…”

— Mark Leibovich said on Feb. 14, 2016 (Source: Wikileaks, website link/ Local PDF, pps 16-17).

[7] Another Reporter Colluding With Clinton Campaign?

In a memo discusses another reporter Maggie Haberman having a close relationship with the Clinton campaign and who previously “teed up stories” for Clinton.

[8] NBC News Trying to Help Clinton Campaign?

Another report discussed NBC and or NBC News are reportedly reviewing transcripts of from Celebrity Apprentice. The popular TV show where celebrities and other public figures compete to raise money for their favorite charities. The TV show was headed by Donald Trump (NY).

The TV network is specifically looking for any disparaging remarks they can use for political purposes against the now Republican presidential candidate.

“CNN’s Brian Stelter reported that the peacock network’s president, Deborah Turness, emailed at least seven producers on Monday and “launched a hunt for ‘Apprentice’ transcripts, even down to loggers of the tape.”

One source reportedly described the search as a “mass hunt underway” for statements that could potentially sway undecided voters with fewer than 30 days until ballots are cast.”

Original Source:

The Billy Bush incident was a secret recording made in 2005 (11 years ago) on a entertainment TV show bus where Trump and Billy Bush made “locker-room” comments about a particular woman. Secretary Clinton doesn’t exactly have the model example of her comments of women either.

Billy Bush is related to the Bush family where Former President George H. W. Bush is his uncle, former President George W. Bush and former 2016 presidential hopeful, Jeb Bush, are Billy Bush’s cousins. Our view is we suspect the Bush family may have been pushing the buttons in getting this tape out to disparage Trump.

Trump and Jeb Bush had high antagonistic debates during the presidential nominee run. Before Jeb Bush officially announced his 2016 campaign, I predicted Jeb would lose, which was the case.

NBC owns the Today Show and suspended Billy Bush for his role in the 2005 secret tape recording. NBC also runs the Celebrity Apprentice and had been very upset that Trump left the highly rated TV show. The new TV show will be replaced with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

These are a few examples of specific instances of media collusion with an active political campaign. There are many in the media who previously worked or had close ties for the Bill Clinton Administration and or the Obama Administration.

Perhaps a number of people (not all), but clearly some in the media are effectively acting as advocates for the Clinton campaign instead of being independent journalists as Hillary Clinton has generally avoiding the media or tough questions for most of the campaign.

Maybe the Clinton campaign feels more comfortable at keeping the media roped like cattle like they did in this July 4, 2015 event in New Hampshire.

After we published this report, we came across this story published back in February (2016) by Lee Fang. It details  a number of  “former campaign strategists” and “political contributors” failed to disclose their financial ties to political campaigns.
