WASHINGTON, DC. The Office Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released a 5-page easy-to-read declassified report of those who requested the unmasking of Lt. General Michael Flynn.
The unmasking was not a one-off thing. The purpose of unmaking is to identity the individual who is being monitored, tracked (aka spied on) by U.S. intelligence.
Generally the individual(s) targeted are supposed to be foreign actors, not the incoming U.S. National Security Advisor (Michael Flynn).
Numerous people were in the know and requested the information.
Noted persons involved include:
Samantha Power, Obama’s U.S. Ambassador to the UN.
James Clapper, Obama’s Directory, National Intelligence (DNI).
John Brennan, Obama’s Director, Central Intelligence (CIA).
Jacob Lew, Obama’s Secretary of the Treasury.
James Comey, Obama’s Director, FBI.
Joe Biden, Obama’s Vice President.
