30 County Sheriffs Join Gun Rights Lawsuit in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, California. Thirty county sheriffs and gun rights groups are suing Los Angeles over a city ordinance regarding gun magazines.

The L.A. city law technically criminalizes police officers and in-service military when off-duty for caring magazines with over 10 rounds. The law is primarily targeted at lawful citizens who would also be criminalized for lawful possession of a gun magazine with over 10 rounds within Los Angeles City limits.

Report: Pro-Gun Control Leaders Have Highest Murder Rates in Their Cities

Under existing state law, lawful citizens may possess magazines over 10 rounds if acquired before a certain date. Los Angles City is illegally circumventing state law.
