How Speaker Boehner and the Establishment Elite Are Failing America

original OP-ED written by Net Advisor

WASHINGTON DC. I have read a number of articles from major media and heard some of the commentary on TV, and it seems that some are still missing the point. After watching his Speakership, John Boehner (R-OH) and the Establishment Elite have failing America.

[1] ObamaCare

America tossed out the majority of Democrats in the House of Representatives in 2010 after Dems forced the injection of Obamacare on American in 2010. In March 2010, 54 percent of Americans were against Obamacare. Also in 2010, American also gave the biggest sweep for Conservative U.S. Legislators in 82 years (since 1928).

America put a majority of Conservatives and Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives in power to STOP Obamacare. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) lost her House Speakership to John Boehner (R) of Ohio after the 2010 Mid-Term Election. not everyone was subject to Obamacare. Twenty-seven healthcare and pharmaceutical companies got wavers, and thirty-one unions got wavers. In Pelosi’s liberal San Francisco, California District, about 20 percent of the businesses got wavers. Basically Dems want laws apply to us but not them?

[2] Boehner Promises to Repeal ObamaCare

After gaining his Speakership in the House effective January 3, 2011, Speaker John Boehner promised he was going to repeal ObamaCare.

“And repeal means keeping a promise. This is what we said we would do (repeal Obamacare). We listened to the people — we made a commitment to them — a pledge to make their priorities our priorities.”

— House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Jan 19, 2011 (Source: Speaker’s YouTube Channel Transcript)

[3] The Law

All Boehner had to do it use the House’s Constitutional power of the purse and simply not include Obamacare funding into the budget. Note, under the U.S. Constitution Article I, Section 8, Clause 1, the U.S. House, not the U.S. Senate, not the President (or Executive Branch), not anyone else, but the U.S. House of Representatives has the power of the purse. They can add or delete items from the budget. This includes de-funding Obamacare, illegal immigration, or any other Obama Executive Action that required Congressional funding.

The Senate and POTUS can whine all they want, but they don’t have that Constitutional authority over the budget. Boehner didn’t bother using the House’s Constitutional authority, and instead deferred authority to the Democrat Majority Whip,  Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in the Senate.

[4] Government Shut-down Facts

Many Dems and in the media then run with this cockamamie idea that ‘Republicans’ are always somehow threatening to ‘shutdown government.’ The U.S. government has never completely shut-down, so this was just a sound bite to the ill-informed public that somehow even a partial shut-down of government would be equivalent to a 9/11.

In September 2011, it was the Democratic Senate, led by Harry Reid who opted to shutdown government by BLOCKING the House Stop-gap Bill in the Senate (59-36) that would have temporary funded government during this budget debate.

In 2013, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and President Obama where the ones who threatened the government shut-down. Reid continued to block progress once a partial government shut down occurred. Boehner and Establishment Republicans didn’t bother to educate the public of these truths, they just took the blame for something they didn’t do.

[5] Boehner Funds ObamaCare

When it came to Obamacare funding, Speaker Boehner could have submitted a budget to the Democrat-Controlled Senate in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and now 2015 that funded the excesses of government except for Obamacare. At that point, the Dems in the Senate would try to block the bill, and the Dems would thus be blamed for a ‘government shut-down.’

After the 2012 Presidential Election, Boehner gave up on fighting Obamacare calling it ‘the law of the land.’ By 2013, a CBS News Poll found that Obamacare was more unpopular than ever with 54% disapproving, 36% approving, 10% had no clue. The same poll found Obamacare personally helped 13%, and 38% said the healthcare law personally hurt them.

After Boehner was for repealing ObamaCare in 2010-2011, then saying it was the ‘law of the land,’ in 2012, he then was for repealing Obamacare again in 2013?

Above Video: Sept. 19, 2013 (Source: Speaker Boehner’s YouTube Channel)

Boehner has about as much commitment as a teenage male to a teen girl, and as much clarity of the topic as fog. With the majority of public against the Obamacare law for three years running, one would think repeal would be easy? Speaker Boehner has a terrible PR machine. He just took every punch by the Dems, assumed the blame and then fully funded Obamacare anyway every year, and every cent. This action upset many Americans who were still AGAINST government-ran and expensive Obamacare.

[6] Boehner Supported Obama’s Executive Defacto Amnesty

Next came the debate over Obama’s illegal immigration executive actions.  Obama claimed the U.S. immigration system was ‘broken,’ but the reality is Obama was the one breaking the system by not enforcing the laws he was sworn to uphold. A Federal Judge temporarily blocked that Obama’s defacto executive amnesty was illegal and unconstitutional.

Speaker Boehner said he would fight and stop Obama’s illegal immigration action.

Above Video: CNN, Nov. 21, 2014 (Source: CNN’s YouTube Channel)

Then after the TV cameras went away, Boehner and 75 Republicans fully supported and funded Obama’s illegal defacto amnesty programs.

So far we have Boehner lying to his own party about stopping Obamacare, lying about stopping Obama’s lawlessness of illegal immigration. Boehner was under even more pressure to resign, but what could keep him in power?

[7] Boehner’s Secret Deal With Liberal Democrats

To keep himself in power with the establishment Republicans (those been in office for typically decades who have no interest in the People of the U.S.), Boehner had quiet discussions with Dems.

A year prior, Boehner attended political fundraiser seeking to stop the Tea Party. In other words, Boehner does not support the U.S. Constitution because that is the basis of the Tea Party.

“Republican House Speaker John Boehner was in talks to appear at an event next weekend at a Ritz Carlton event hosted by an anti-tea party PAC devoted to fighting conservatives within the GOP.”

Daily Caller, Mar. 28, 2014

It seems that after word got out, Boehner did not attend the fundraiser and claimed a ‘scheduling conflict.’ The fundraiser sold Anti-Tea Party, Anti-Conservative tickets at $5,000 each on Boehner’s website however. We would call that an endorsement.

Based on Boehner actions it appears he is not a Conservative, does not support nor defend his sworn oath to the U.S. Constitution. Boehner’s actions have supported the liberal Dems without a real fight. Boehner would pretend to talk tough when something came up. But in the end, Boehner ALWAYS give in to whatever the Dems wanted.

This part could be a bit speculative, but it would make sense based on the aforementioned actions of Boehner. In exchange for going against his own party (funding/ supporting Dems), Boehner was given protection to keep himself in power. Obama and Dems would help fight WITH Boehner to try and stop Conservatives and like-minded Constitutional Tea Party members from attacking Boehner’s power.

Both the Dems and Boehner have one thing in common: They both hate the Tea Party and Conservatives. This mutual interest would seem to have helped keep Boehner in power until late.

Obama continued acting like a one-man government (tyrant) with his executive orders bypassing Congress’s Constitutional authority and Boehner REFUSED to using the power of the purse to stop Obama, by not funding Obama’s illegal actions.

[8] Enter 2014 Mid-Term Elections

By the 2014 Mid-term Elections, America was fed up with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) blocking every single piece of Republic legislation that did not confirm to Obama’s will. The Dems lost their majority hold in the U.S. Senate.

Obama however ignores the election outcome of the People, and says he ‘hears’ and responds to the people who didn’t vote or votes did not support Dems. So we have a President who is acting not on behalf of the People in an election, but rather on what he thinks he hears from people who did not vote?

By January 3, 2015, in the 114th Congress, Republicans now controlled a majority in both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate – or so we thought.

[9] Minority Dems Block Republican Legislation – Boehner: No Problem?

Having a minority in the House and Senate, Dems began filibustering after filibustering in the Senate to block Republican legislation until they got Establishment Republicans led by Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to support the Liberal Democrat agenda.

Mitch McConnell said in 2012 that it should be the top priority to not let Obama have a second term.

In 2013, McConnell said ‘there will not be another government shutdown, you can certainty count on that.’

In other words, Boehner and McConnell were now colluding with the Democrats to give them whatever they wanted or would not interfere any of Obama’s actions to bypass Congress’ Constitutional authority?

[10] Party-Treason

Arguably, the reason why Boehner and McConnell did this is because they both want to maintain the establishment control of the Republic Party; and if they have to commit ‘Party-Treason’ to do this then so it will be.

These actions have only outraged Conservatives. The true Constitutional Conservatives in the Republican Party saw the member of the “Republican Establishment” no different than the liberal Democrats. Like the liberal Democrats, the Republican Establishment was also deemed a threat to America’s way of life and liberty.

[11] Boehner’s Revenge on Conservatives

Boehner, having been in congress for some 30 years (since 1985), collected a lot of power, influence, lobbying support to remain in power and won his speakership again.

Recall in 2010 that the Tea Party movement helped boot Dems out of the U.S. House. By 2013, Dems concluded that the Tea Party is a threat to their liberal agenda.

Even after America learned that Obamacare was a complete deception from the start, Speaker Boehner continued to fund the deception.

Under threat by the Tea Party and other fiscal conservatives, Boehner’s status of House Speaker was challenged. Speaker Boehner did not fight for conservative ideology; in fact Boehner punished those who did not support him.

“John Boehner punishes conservative Republicans who ‘p***ed him off’ by trying to oust him by removing high-profile committee posts”

Daily Mail.UK, Jan. 6, 2015

Boehner, GOP Leadership Strip Defectors From Committee Assignments, Could Do More”

Western Journalism, Jan. 7, 2015

These tyrannical punishments made more conservatives despise Boehner.

By June 2015, Boehner again punished House Republicans who did not vote the way Boehner wanted them to vote. By the end of July 2015, House Conservatives had enough of Boehner and sought to oust him again.

[12] The Fight

I would argue that Speaker Boehner knew there was another fight to remove him from his speakership. I observed many in the media mostly citing Boehner’s lack of stance of de-funding a private business Planned Parenthood. The current controversy associated to the organization regarding selling unborn (and born-aborted) baby parts for money.

For anyone or the media to say that Boehner was pressured to resign because of Planned Parenthood funding is a gross underestimate of the History of Boehner’s stated liberal and Anti-American actions.

[13] Enter the Iran Deal.

Boehner said he would ‘do everything‘ to stop the Iran Deal.

Speaker Boehner and Mitch McConnell failed to stop Obama’s lawlessness again bypassing Congress and the U.S. Constitution with the Iran Deal that gives several hundred billions of dollars to Iran and a legal path to develop nuclear weapons (Iran Deal PDF, 159pps).

It’s one thing to allow a President to exceed his Constitutional authority repeatedly with impunity, but to permit a POTUS and 42 Senate members of the Democrat Party to effectively financial support, and eventually permit ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons the U.S. State Department’s list of known “State Sponsors of Terrorism” seems more like treason. Yet, President Obama calls anyone who is against supporting the terrorist government of Iran, “the Crazies?

Speaker Boehner and Mitch McConnell failed to stop the Iran Deal too with a majority in the House and Senate.

[14] Enter Jeb Bush – Rhino.

Establishment Republicans thought with a majority of the House and Senate, subduing Tea Party and other Conservatives that they put another one of their puppets in office: Jeb Bush.

Jeb Bush supports Defacto amnesty which is exactly what American said they did not want in the 2014 Mid-term Elections. Jeb Bush has also supported big government Common Core and most conservatives don’t want big government indoctrinating our children any more than is already going on.

Review of Jeb Bush’s Self-Admissions of Policy Ideology:

2014: “From Common Core to immigration, Jeb Bush shows he’s ‘the Eat Your Broccoli’ Republican” (Miami Herald)

2014: “Jeb Bush Praises Illegal Immigrants as ‘Risk Takers,’ Defends Common Core” (Breitbart)

2014: “Jeb Bush – Many illegal immigrants come out of an ‘act of love’” (Washington Post)

2014: “Jeb Bush_ ‘No problems’ defending expanded immigration” (CNN)

2015: “Bush_ ‘DREAM Act kids should have a path to citizenship‘ (The Hill)

2015: “Bush calls for broader government surveillance – on Americans” (The Hill)

2015: “Jeb Bush declares his support for Puerto Rico to become 51st state” (Daily Mail.UK)

And in case you have not been paying attention Jeb, Puerto Rico, ran by Democrat Gov (Padilla, 2015) is technically bankrupt.

Before Jeb Bush announced his candidacy I already predicted he would lose the 2016 election for POTUS.

Jeb is about as conservative as Obama and Hillary Clinton. Of course a top Speaker Boehner aid supports Jeb Bush. I’m sure Mr. Bush is a nice guy, however politically speaking, his policies seems no different than the other Establishment Republicans Speaker Boehner and Senator McConnell.

[15] America FED Up with The Establishment

Conservatives and America become fed up with the Establishment RHINOs (Republican In Name Only). After giving Republicans both the House (2010) and Senate (2014). The Establishment votes and acts like Liberals – going against the party ideology, against Constitutional government.

[16] Enter Trump, Carson, Fiorina & Cruz.

After many (or most) in the media thought he would never enter the 2016 POTUS race, Billionaire Real Estate and TV Mogul, Donald Trump entered like a freight train. Bush who first lead the Republican polls saw himself tanking the Titanic while ‘political outsiders’ such as Trump, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina take the 2016 lead thus far. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) is close behind as he has been the only political insider, except perhaps Rand Paul (R-KY) who has aggressively and publicly fought against the political elite.

Many insider candidates who have attacked the political outsiders seem to have generally fallen in the polls, never really took off or are now out of the race such as FMR Governor Scott Walker (R-Wis) and FMR Governor Rick Perry (R-Tex.).

[18] Stepping Down

Boehner didn’t advance anything unless you consider supporting Obama’s lawless agenda as an accomplishment. I would argue that Boehner saw the writing on the wall that he was more likely to lose his speakership and resigning would be better than being fired. This is the same reasoning why a number of prominent Democrats said they were not going to run in the 2016 Mid-term elections, because they saw the writing on the wall, and angry public and were going to lose. To save face, they decided to retire than seek political defeat.

[19] Next Speaker

The big issue now is who will be the next Speaker of the House? The media including conservative media have already being prepping American for the next RHINO in-line for the job. Republicans must replace the Speaker with a true Conservative who will stand up and fight for the Constitution – the oath they are supposed to uphold, and thus against the lawlessness conducted by the current administration.

[20] 2016: What Will It Take?

In order to get American back on track, voters will need to ‘clean house.’ This includes sweeping out no less than six more Dems from the Senate, keeping a veto-proof majority. They should remove Republican Senator McConnell who is part of the problem. A new Conservative Speaker in the House who will uphold and defend the Constitution is also critical.

The establishment has lots of money, power and contacts and this is why a strong outsider with their own money can shake up the Establishment elite.

It will take a public who does not get fickle or easily persuaded by political pundits on TV or in the news media. The public needs to understand that there is an agenda to keep the People down and the elite in power. BOTH the Republican Establishment and the Democrats are running an effective oligopoly. With the exception of Obama, the U.S. has been ran by a Bush or a Clinton for 19 consecutive years.

Both parties have failed to address the massive deficits. Both parties have failed to address entitlements (including welfare). Both parties have failed to properly enforce existing federal immigration law, among numerous other issues. The taxpayers get the bill, and their incomes have gone down. The solution is that the establishment elite on both parties want to out another Bush or Clinton back into office?

America should not obsess so much right now on micro or social issues. Whether we issues marriages licenses to whomever; whether one likes one’s hairdo, or whether or not a school should close on Islamic Holy Days or not is not a national problem right now. Lack of U.S. jobs, Iran with nukes; Russia, China and Iran expanding their territory, $19+ Trillion in debt, massive welfare spending, really securing our borders, stopping expansion of terrorism, temporarily halting or reducing Visas until the border security issues can be effectively addressed are real national and national security problems.

America needs to try and not get sidetracked by the ‘shiny objects’ flavor of the day and focus on the real issues facing the nation at this time. Once we get our house in order, then we can figure out what toys (social issues) we want to put in it.
