New York. Recently the International Monetary Fund (IMF) published an update to actual and projected global economic growth. The United States fell behind 7 other regions in the world for economic growth.

China’s Growth Tripled vs USA in 2012
China grew more than +300% more than the USA in 2012 [Math: China growth 7.8 – USA growth 2.3 = 5.5. Then 5.5 divided by 2.3 = 3.2 or 320%].

Mexico’s Growth up 65% vs USA in 2012
Mexico’s economy grew +65.22% over the U.S. in 2012 [Math: Mexico growth 3.8 – USA growth 2.3 = 1.5. Then 1.5 divided by 2.3 = .65217 or 65.22%].

Other counties such as India, Developing Asia, the Middle-east and North Africa as a whole, Russia and much of poverty stricken Latin America as a group grew significantly faster than the United States in 2012.

The United States government has been spending trillions of dollars and this has not translated into economic growth. This didn’t work in Europe as their economic growth have been on the decline.

EU deficits are also at scary levels, a recession is projected for 2013 and unemployment is also on the rise. Perhaps the Obama government might want to learn from Europe’s mistakes?
