Obama Replaces Costly High-Speed Rail Plan With High-Speed Bus Plan

OK, Forget High-Speed Rail. How About High Speed Buses?

The Obama Administration is now looking at replacing the high-speed rail project with business that can travel 165 miles per hour.

Alan Pedersen, U.S. Transportation Department Program Director thinks for a mere $40.00 (that’s right – forty dollars) – we can retrofit government buses and take passengers at 165 MPH on – the freeway.

Would you want to go 165 MPH on a bus driven by a federal employee? Police are not even trained to go that fast. Is the government going to seek x-race car drivers to become bus drivers?

When ever has the U.S. government started and completed any project for $40.00? The government can’t even buy a toilet seat for $40.00.

The 2011 Porsche Cayenne S-Hybrid (video) can’t go faster than 150 MPH. Wouldn’t it be cheaper if the Obama Administration just bought a bunch of new Porsche Cayenne S-Hybrids instead of buses? I’ll bet we would have an increase in public transportation especially if passengers can take turns driving!
